Our genre is teen romantic comedy, this photo goes with that genre as it has coy body language, showing fondness but also shyness. Often what you feel when you like someone. The photo also shows how it is just them two, its very secluded, noone is around them and the shot is just about them showing that there is obviously something going on between them. The smiling suggests that they aren't upset with their love, it isn't painful, both the characters are happy, and happy to be in love. The setting is a school, this is clear through the corridor and the stairs, we used a school as it is where teenagers see eachother every day and make bonds with people, and so these two have bonded through school and then outside of school. These characters we used in the photo are Hope and Ollie, the two that are deeply in love. We decided to use these characters from our film idea 'Beautiful Nightmare' and the romantic side of the film will be based on their love for eachother and how it develops. The genre conventions of a teenage rom-com, is romance, heartbreak, pain, happiness, struggle, humour, enjoyment. We hope to portray this through the look on their faces, the fact to them they are the only two in the world.
